Svinga Loss analyses disc golf throws in slow-motion videos that you choose. The analysis runs entirely on your device: your videos, images and pose data never leave your phone unless you share them or choose to send us a tuning file (see below).
What the app accesses
- Your videos — only the video you pick, to analyse it, and (when you choose to save) your photo library or gallery, to store the finished video and trail image.
- Videos, pose data and results are processed and kept on your device. Optional tuning files (see below) stay in the app's own folder until you delete them, share them or send them to us.
Tuning files you choose to send us
To improve how the app finds your throwing arm, throw style and release, you can save a tuning file for a clip and send it to us. This only happens when you deliberately create the file and send it yourself; the app never sends tuning files on its own.
A tuning file contains:
- small grayscale images (320 × 180 pixels, no colour, no sound) of about 3 seconds of your video around the throw — so it shows the person throwing,
- body pose points (joint positions) detected in the clip,
- what the app detected and the corrections you made (release time, start/stop, throwing arm and style) and your trail settings,
- technical details of the clip: duration, frame rate, an app-generated file name and when the file was created.
It does not contain your full video, colour images, sound, location or account details.
Why: we replay tuning files on our computer to test and improve the app's automatic detection. We use them only for that, do not publish them, and do not share them with anyone.
How they reach us: through an upload form hosted by Google (the files are stored in our Google Drive) or by email. If the upload form asks you to sign in with Google, we see the name and email address of your Google account; we use them only to answer you if needed.
How long we keep them: only as long as they are useful for improving detection. To have your tuning files deleted, email us (address below) and we will delete them.
Diagnostics sent by Google ML Kit
Pose detection uses Google ML Kit, which runs on your device. ML Kit itself sends a small amount of technical data to Google, which Google uses for diagnostics and usage analytics of ML Kit:
- device information (such as manufacturer, model, operating system version) and available ML hardware,
- the app's identifier and version,
- a per-installation identifier (not intended to identify you or your device),
- performance metrics (such as processing time), settings, input and output sizes, and error codes.
This data is sent encrypted (HTTPS). According to Google, ML Kit does not pass it on to third parties. It contains no images, videos, pose data or personal information such as your name or email address, and Svinga Loss (we) do not receive any of it. Google's descriptions: iOS, Android; Google Privacy Policy.
What the app does not do
- It does not upload your videos, images or pose data on its own.
- We (Svinga Loss) do not collect, receive, sell or share personal data — apart from tuning files you choose to send us, as described above, which we never sell or share.
- It has no accounts, no advertising and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
Sharing
If you share a video, image or tuning file from the app (via your phone's share sheet), it goes only where you choose to send it.
Children
The app does not ask for or collect personal information from anyone, including children. The ML Kit diagnostics described above are technical data about the device and the app. Tuning files reach us only if a user chooses to send them; if a child's tuning file has been sent to us, email us and we will delete it.
